On September 20th, we will be joining students, school pupils and citizens from across Edinburgh and the world, to show solidarity in the face of the climate crisis.
From 10.30 we will gather in Bristo Square and set off at 11am towards the meadows to join the Youth Climate Strike movement as we march from middle meadow walk to the Scottish parliament.
For more information on the Edinburgh #GlobalStrikeforClimate, click here. We're also hosting a banner making drop-in on September 19th where all students and staff are welcome to come along and use our recycled materials to produce banners and signs for the march.
If your studies or other commitments do not allow for you to join the march, take some time out of your day to take part in the events happening all day across campuses. Staff from the University's Social Responsibility and Sustainability (SRS) department are hosting stalls from 11:30am-5pm in the Main Library, at Edinburgh BioQuarter, and King's Buildings.
We are so proud that the University are allowing students the opportunity to use this day to engage and ask questions about the University’s commitment to net zero carbon by 2040.
