Every day, the Students' Association - led by our Sabbatical Officers - is working to achieve positive change on the issues that matter to you, our members.

From housing and transport, to mental health and wellbeing, sustainability and social responsibility to teaching and learning, supporting student-led groups and activities to ensuring our venues and events are responding to students' needs, much of our work happens behind the scenes, but below are a few key projects wewant you to know about.

  • We're responding to COVID-19, ensuring that the negative impacts of the on-going pandemic are mitigated, and preparing for the next academic year. Find out more here.
  •
  • We're engaging with and responding to the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement, and working to address racism and racial inequalities within the University community. Find out more here.

Alongside these projects, we also work to implement policies proposed by students like you, and passed by Student Council. You can find out more about our current and historic policies here and lean how you can propose new policy here.

We also coordinate and support a range of annual activities including Welcome Week, our annual Elections, Mental Health and Wellbeing Week, Give It A Go, our Student Awards, our Teaching Awards, and our Liberation history month programmes - coordinated by our Liberation Officers.
