Elections

Every year, students like you cast over 35,000 votes to select the students who will represent them for the coming year.

From Liberation Officers and School Representatives to our Sabbatical Officers, these students are working hard every day to make your voice heard and improve your University experience.

In October we elect our School and University-wide postgraduate representatives, and the delegates who will represent you at National Union of Students' conferences.

In March we elect our Sabbatical Officers - five students who will work full-time for a year leading the Students' Association - as well as Liberation Officers and Section Reps, who represent marginalised and under-represented groups of students, undergraduate School representatives, and Activities Reps who give a voice to our societies.

All students are eligible to vote - regardless of whether you're an undergraduate, postgraduate taught or postgraduate research student - and because our elections are online, you don't have to be based in Edinburgh to have your say.

We'll be updating this page in the run-up to the December break with more information on the roles available, and how candidates can start preparing their campaigns. You can also email elections@eusa.ed.ac.uk to reach a member of staff in our Representation and Democracy team if you have any questions.
