Edinburgh Global Partnerships (EGP) - UoE is a university society associated to the student-run charity (Ediburgh Global Partnerships - SCIO) that has been supporting sustainable, community-led development projects overseas since 1990. Our projects are conceived by local communities; volunteers fundraise throughout the year with their respective teams for the cost of the project in which they are involved. As a volunteer, you then get to travel to the country during the summer to work alongside the local community to carry out the project. No experience is required, just plenty of enthusiasm!

    Why join EGP this year?

    • An exciting Webinar Series exploring topics relevant to the International Development sphere. Expect to hear from a range of academics, NGO workers, and other experts as we discuss and debate some of the key topics and challenges facing the sector.
    • A chance to influence how we operate as a charity. We are taking this year to have a think about how we can refine and improve our practices, and we want your input!
    • Opportunities to have an impact on the local Edinburgh community through our EdLinks program. We're partnering with local organizations who are doing amazing things locally.
