Are you interested in working in education or with primary school students? Do you have a good level of spoken English as well as your native French or Spanish? Are you studying French or Spanish to degree level? This is an excellent opportunity for any students interested in early development, education or French or Spanish language and culture!
We are looking for patient, responsible and enthusiastic individuals to join our languages group!
As a volunteer, you will be involved in facilitating teaching French or Spanish to children in primary schools in and around Edinburgh. Your role will be to assist teachers, and to share French or Spanish language and culture with the children in an exciting and structured way. This commitment will run for 12 weeks and will give you a fantastic chance to develop skills. You will receive lots of training and support, and will be accompanied by teachers at all times – you don’t need to have worked with children before, just have enthusiasm, an interest in working with children and a desire to develop your skills within the role!
FLO aim to develop, maintain & promote language education in schools from a young age. Proficient speakers of French & Spanish assist with teaching these languages & cultures in Edinburgh schools.
