Paws Against Stress, Therapets are Back!
Get ready to de-stress with adorable therapy dogs! We've teamed up with the Student Counselling Service and Canine Concern Scotland Trust to bring you Therapets – an afternoon playing with specially approved therapy dogs.
The physiological and psychological benefits of human-animal bonding have long been recognised. Recent research has also demonstrated that the mere act of stroking a dog or cat (although no cats here we're afraid!) has exceptional benefits, including slowing heart rate, reducing blood pressure, calming nerves, regulating breathing and elevating mood – perfect for around exam time when stress can overwhelm us!
There are two dates this semester to spend time with the dogs, and you can book your tickets here - Tue 30 April, 1.30-3.30pm and Wed 8 May, 1.30-3.30pm.
Sessions are FREE but it's strongly recommended that you bre-book a 15 minute session. Tickets will be made available the Friday before each session.
