"I think our presence in the class made a very big difference as students could ask us questions that they wouldn't ask tutors. Since we were in their shoes before, we know the right answer to give them."
- PALS leader, January 2016
Peer Learning & Support volunteers facilitate group learning and social support for lower year students. As a volunteer you will develop skills in leadership, organisation, communication and problem-solving as well as getting experience in public speaking and presentations.
Being a Peer Learning/Support volunteer leader is a fun and rewarding way to meet people and get more involved in your school. It can help you to get confidence in your subject area and develop skills that will be really valuable to you and future employers.
All Peer Learning & Support volunteers are fully trained by us. Regular support, resources and funding is available to all trained volunteers. Volunteers are also recognised for their work through the Impact Awards, Edinburgh Award and more.
