What’s it all about?

VetPALS is an academic support system in which students are supported by their peers from later years. Experience from similar schemes elsewhere and from our pilot last year have proven that this form on support is really useful for all involved.

VetPALS sessions occur throughout the first year with roughly five each semester.The sessions are all led by fully trained VetPALS leaders from the later years of the BVM&S programme – all know what it is like to be new at University and have loads of tips and ideas to pass on.

Each session will have a timely and relevant theme, have Topics range from study skills, preparing lab books, exams to EMS – all topics that are unfamiliar first years find really. All sessions are relaxed and informal, as well as fun!

How can I get involved?

You will be sent emails with further information prior to each session. One of our VetPALS leaders will be talking at the induction sessions on the Monday of of Fresher's week.


The schedule will be emailed to all eligible students at the start of the semester.
