Bringing together aspiring young writers, publishers and editors, PublishED is a society that produces Edinburgh University's semesterly publication 'The Inkwell', showcasing the literary talents of our students. We aim to encourage and offer exposure to budding novelists, poets and dramatists. We are the magazine and publication society!

In 2014, we won the EUSA Illuminating Arts Award!

For the chance to be published in the next issue of 'The Inkwell' magazine, send us your creative writing submissions! Have a look at past magazines here.

Please send submissions to the relevant email adresses:
Poetry: poetry.publishedinburgh@gmail.com
Prose: prose.publishedinburgh@gmail.com
Drama: dram.publishedinburgh@gmail.com

As a society, we do different events throughout the semester, so keep an eye out on our twitter and facebook group!

The best way to keep in touch with where we'll be and what we're doing is to join our mailing list - simply email publishedinburgh@gmail.com to request we add you!

Our meetings alternate between guest speakers, creative writing workshops and socials. Our usual events are monthly Open Mic nights (please send us an email if you want to perform!) and creative writing workshops. We help organise CCCF with the Careers Service. In the past we've had Winskill Editorial and Society of Young Publishers Scotland speaking to our members, in addition to having a creative writing workshop with Talbot Rice Gallery, 'The Book- From The Inside Out' with aforementioned SYP, Drunk Creative Writing and Blind Date with a Book events. We also usually do a 'Lit Lovers Social' in Fresher's Week with Literature Society and Edinburgh University Writers' Bloc.

We have a whole variety of fantastic fundraising events planned, including an open mic night and creative writing workshops. We'll also be hoping to recreate the success of Halloween ceilidh last year, with another ceilidh this year!
