BLOGS - LGBT+ Society
Visit www.blogs.org.uk or find us on Facebook to find out about events!
BLOGS is the University’s LGBT+ society. We welcome anyone who is lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, aromantic, non-binary, pansexual or any other identity under the LGBT+ umbrella. We’re here to provide a safe and supportive space for LGBT+ students to socialise, relax, discuss issues, and get involved with the wider community.
We run main events on Tuesday evenings during term time, as well as side and subgroup events on other days of the week. We put on a range of events, including casual socials, discussions, informational talks, and pub and club nights; all of our events can be found on our Facebook Page (subscribe to be notified when we set up an event!) and in our newsletter.
We hope our events cater to everyone, keep an eye on what we're holding to find something that piques your interest! If, however, you don't feel like coming along to a group event, committee members are available to speak to if you have any questions, worries, need some advice or just want to find out more about BLOGS, so please feel free to get in touch with us by email or on Facebook. To receive weekly emails during term time about our events and activities, sign up to our mailing list.
Our committee is constructed so that all parts of the LGBT+ community are represented, including those who face different intersectional oppressions. Our full committee list can be found here.
Hope to see you soon!
