Welcome to the Theatre Paradok’s EUSA profile.

We're so glad you've found us.

Theatre Paradok is a performing arts society. Our aim is to facilitate the creation of theatre that is experimental and innovative without being exclusive. We thrive off the challenging and exciting. We like theatre that’s engaging, energetic and immersive. Above all, we value enthusiasm, collaboration and pure joy.

We put on three shows per year, one each semester and one that we take to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for which we take proposals. There are plenty of other ways to get involved independent to this whether you want to get into costume design or tech we want to hear from you- we also run a number of workshops throughout the year in which we explore many different facets of theatre from devising physical theatre to vocal control and everything in between.

To get all our updates, find us on facebook https://www.facebook.com/theatreparadok or www.paradok.co.uk and if you have any questions, email us at theatreparadok@gmail.com

Our Fringe Production this year is the devised physical piece Bare Threads!

We are often barely conscious of dressing and undressing in our daily routine. Yet, the very same actions have the potential to make us feel exposed, uncomfortable, wild, daring and sensual. From shimmying into a bikini underneath a beach towel to slowly taking off a lover’s shirt, Bare Threads explores what we reveal of ourselves as we peel away our layers of clothes and wrap ourselves back up. Physical and playful, Paradok’s ensemble seeks spontaneity and routine, awkwardness and abandon, intimacy and sensuality as they experiment with their wardrobe.
