Importance of Student Representation
The relationship between Class Reps, School Reps, and staff at the University is very important. At the Students' Association we want to support and facilitate the development of these relationships as much as possible. The Students' Association and University Student Engagement Statement outlines our shared commitment to student representation.
We all benefit if students have an effective and representative voice. It is really important for all staff to value and promote opportunities for student representation generally, and work in partnership with Class Reps and elected School Reps in particular. Find out more about the Students' Association in our information sheet for staff.
The Role of Class Reps in Working with Your School
Class Reps are a great resource to the development of your curriculum, student support, and student satisfaction because they give useful feedback and work in partnership with staff to improve the student learning experience. Learn more about the Class Rep role and what Class Reps do so you can work effectively with them.
Please see our dedicated pages for administrative and support staff, and for tutors and course and programme organisers for more information.
