The Vice President Welfare leads on the development of policy and campaigning positions that support the Students’ Association’s ongoing activity on welfare, and equality and diversity issues including student safety, mental and physical health and wellbeing, and inclusion.

     

    Past achievements have included the launch of a new anti-sexual harassment campaign: #NoExcuse, delivery of a high profile week of events and activities for Mental Health and Wellbeing Week, securing free sanitary products on all campuses, and making pronoun badges available to all students.

     

    A key aspect to all the Sabbatical Officer roles is also ensuring that students are engaged with and involved in developing and implementing the Students’ Associations projects, policies and campaigns, and that students are consulted with to ensure that the organisation is representing their views on issues which affect them.
