The Vice President Activities and Services leads on Students’ Association activities relating to student development, student opportunities, the societies and volunteering service, social enterprise, commercial services, relationships with the Sports Union and Edinburgh Students’ Charities Appeal (ESCA), including ESCA Trustee, and space and services for student activities. This involves working closely with the Activities Team, and Activities Executive.
Past achievements have included increasing the provision of ‘Heat & Eat Stations’ across the Students’ Association estate, and securing funding for the distribution of nearly 4000 free Keep Cups, reducing the use of disposable cups in Students’ Association and University outlets.
A key aspect to all the Sabbatical Officer roles is also ensuring that students are engaged with and involved in developing and implementing the Students’ Associations projects, policies and campaigns, and that students are consulted with to ensure that the organisation is representing their views on issues which affect them.
