In order to ensure that our elections are conducted fairly for everyone involved, we have a set of Election Regulations which explain what candidates can and can't do.

All the key information you need is available in the Candidates Guide, this includes key dates, information on the budget for your campaign, ordering print, and how to stay within the rules.

If you are standing for a position in the election, you will need to familiarise yourself both with the regulations and with the Candidates Guide

If you have any questions about the regulations, please contact the Assistant Returning Officer, Hazel Blair.

We recognise that running an election campaign can be stressful at times, but all candidates have a responsibility to treat each other with respect. If you feel that a candidate has broken the rules in conducting their campaign, please read Section 7 of the Election Regulations to find out more about Election Complaints. You can find out more about how to file a complaint here.

Students' Associatin Sabbatical Officers and staff are here to provide support and advice during the election. Drop in to see us in Potterrow, get advice on your campaign, or if you just need someone to listen, get in touch by e-mail us on elections@eusa.ed.ac.uk or contacting the Sabbatical Officers. .
