The Pleasance is situated in Edinburgh's old town, complete with cobbled streets and exposed brickwork, it's a great place to relax, grab a coffee and catch up with your coursework! The Pleasance is best known for being the hub for Societies and Student Groups and also as a key venue for Edinburgh Festival Fringe. 


Please note that due to COVID-19 you must book a table to visit our venues. In line with Scottish Government COVID-19 Guidelines, all venue bookings must be made by a maximum of 4 people from 2 households. Any groups larger than 4 people will be refused. You can book a table at your Students' Association Venues here. Current COVID-19 guidelines in Scotland include a 10pm curfew across all bars and restaurants.




The Pleasance Café Bar is a bright and comfy space suitable for any time of the day! You can get everything from a coffee and cake to our famous Nachos and a refreshing cold drink.

The Pleasance Courtyards are famous throughout August, but this year we're bringing the Edinburgh Festival Fringe vibe to you throughout September and October. Expect a covered courtyard, safe from the Scottish weather, cold drinks on tap and tasty snacks! 



Monday - Sunday, 11:00 to late
