EUBMS aims to provide students within biomedical, biological and medical sciences a peer support network, holding regular social events so you can have some fun while getting to know your course mates from years below and above. All undergraduates and postgraduates are welcome to join these events as membership is free for all.
During the academic year of 2019/20 we will be organizing socials, pub quizzes, pub crawls, movie nights, barbeques to name a few! We also host course-specific study and skill-development sessions and aim to offer general advice regarding careers and internships within the biomedical sciences. Committee members will be present during all career talks and welcome any questions related to the university world or beyond. Please note that you don’t have to be studying Biomedical Sciences to take part - our study sessions benefit students from a range of related degrees!
We are excited to launch our new lecture series in Semester 1 beginning with talks from lecturers from our own school. This is a great and low-key way to approach lecturers with questions of your own. Committee members will also be present if you have any questions about the society, suggestions for future events or want to become involved with the society.
All of our events will be advertised on our Facebook page so do follow our page!
EUBMS has no weekly meetings, and membership is free! You can find notifications for events and updates on our Facebook and Instagram pages. For further enquiries, email biomedical.society.ed@gmail.com.
