LitPALS is the peer-assisted learning scheme for English Literature and Scottish Literature students. In small informal groups, trained second-, third- and fourth-year literature students offer support to first-year (Pre hons) and third-year literature (Hons) students in fortnightly sessions throughout the year.

We run sessions covering a wide range of topics, from adapting to university life and navigating the library, to preparing for essays and revising for exams. Our sessions for third-year students are mainly focused on the challenges faced by students studying the Critical Practice courses.

We aim to create a relaxed and confidential setting in which you can ask your own questions about your studies and university experience. It is also an excellent way to meet fellow students and find out about the social life in and around the university.
