Edinburgh University Students' Association is looking to recruit Conference and Events Manager to join our Business Development team.

Salary:                  £28,500 to £31,500.per annum
Hours:                  37.5 hours per week
Annual Leave:     35 days per year
Contract:             Fixed term for 12 months

We are seeking to improve our trading operations, customer care and increase income generation. We want to develop and diversify the commercial business to increase sustainability through food and beverage outlets, hospitality, entertainments and events. 


The Role:
To lead and drive our conferencing and external events business, driving income generation and a strong reputation.  The Conference and Events Manager will help to establish the Students’ Association as an excellent provider of facilities and catering for external bookings including business to business, weddings, conferences and other events/ celebrations. 

The role will be responsible for ensuring operational delivery for all events are to the highest standard.  This role will also oversee our support for student groups that are running events within the Students’ Association – ensuring they receive a professional service and that student activities are valued and effective.


The Person:
An enthusiastic, positive and extremely competent manager with demonstrable experience of building high impact commercial partnerships.  A person with very high expectations of themselves and others, with a passion for detail and the ability to maintain delivery at a consistently high standard.
