Teviot Row House
Opened in 1889, the unique Teviot Row House was designed in Scots palace style and features grand sweeping staircases and large Gothic windows overlooking Bristo Square. Whether you prefer the grand Dining Room, historic Debating Hall, stylish Loft Bar, urban Underground or the laid-back feel of the New Amphion, we can offer a variety of options all in one magnificent building. Each room has it's own flavour so we can accommodate events ranging from 21st birthday parties to traditional banquets.

With 18m high ceilings and finished in dark oak, the Debating Hall's historic, grand space is perfect for weddings, corporate functions, ceilidhs, club nights, parties and theatre evenings. It has capacity for up to 250 standing or 200 seated. This is the largest venue in Teviot.
Loft Bar / Terrace
An intimate and modern bar area off the Debating Hall, the Loft Bar also has a rooftop terrace and can accommodate up to 150 people.
Able to accommodate up to 40 people, The Balcony Room has high level views over Bristo Square and is ideal for small meetings or lunches or as a breakout room for a larger event in the Debating Hall.
This aptly named music venue has a relaxed atmosphere as well as a baby grand piano on a small stage and is perfect for smaller gigs, comedy nights or less formal meetings of up to 120 people.
With panoramic views over Bristo Square, the Dining Room combines elegance and style to really impress your friends or clients. Host anything from weddings to corporate dinners to wine & canapés with a capacity of 100 seated or 200 standing.
Middle Reading Room
The most impressive feature of The Middle Reading Room is it’s boardroom style table able to seat up to 24 people at a time for dining or meetings. Adjoining the Dining Room, these rooms can be hired together or separate.
The New Amphion
The New Amphion is decorated in an Art Deco style giving it its own look and feel within Teviot. It also has its own catering and bars area to accommodate up to 300 people for a variety of events.
This dual level space can also be converted into an indoor marquee style area. Adjoining the Amphion, this space can accommodate up to an additional 80 people seated or 150 people standing.
With its comfortable armchairs and low-level tables, The Committee Room is a versatile space suitable for private meetings for up to 25 people. It can also accommodate drinks parties and canapés for up to 30 people.
Similar in style to The Committee Room, the Writing Room is also a versatile space suitable for private meetings or drinks & canapés for up to 30 people.
The Underground is most often used as a night club but is also perfect for live music or cabaret. This grungy club in the basement of Teviot has a full bar, in-house PA system and dance floor. The Underground is the perfect venue for you, 399 of your friends and your favourite DJ.
Although the Library Bar cannot be hired for private functions, it is open seven days a week to the public and is considered by many to be the hub of Teviot. Refurbished in 2007, this modern bar has the look of an 18th century library.
