As part of International Development Week (27th Feb- 4th March), Edinburgh Mercy Corps Student Corps will host this free event - 'Let's Talk about Mental Health and Displacement'.

Being young means having endless opportunities open up in front of us. But what about those living in fragile and insecure communities -- those who have to flee their homes? Feeling safe, hopeful and supported is critical to successfully navigating the tumultuous transition from youth to adulthood. At this speaker event, Julisa Tambunan (Director of GirlSPARKS) will talk about how displacement affects young people’s wellbeing and how Mercy Corps helps displaced young people reconnect with themselves, their families and communities.

The event will also feature an art exhibition displaying over 15 pieces produced by refugees in art therapy sessions delivered by Mercy Corps.
