From Zero to Enterprise is a workshop that takes you through the journey of turning an idea into a successful social enterprise. The event is divided into 4 content blocks and 2 food breaks.
Whether your company is already ready to start, you just have an idea or you just want to learn more about social enterprises, there’s something here for everybody! Participants will be divided into 4 groups:
You’re interested: Group discusses the idea of a social enterprise, how is it different from a start-up, what are some examples, what’s the history origin and purpose for their existence.
You’re aware but have no idea: Puts forward areas that social enterprises can disrupt, some problems that need to be solved and urges people to team up and generate idea/discuss more problems.
You have an idea but no clue about execution: Group goes through the legal proceedings that are necessary to establish a business in Scotland and covers topics such as international visas, gap years, etc. People are urged to come up with a mock company and prepare a pitch.
You’re company is set up but needs funding: Group deals with inputs from local entrepreneurs and talks about all the opportunities available to keep your business afloat. The mock companies can also pitch to a panel of judges for feedback and acquire possible funding for their idea.
