Edinburgh University History Society presents the first of its new three-part seminar series: Don’t Diss the Diss. Aimed at honours students and MSc students, these seminars are designed to give you help and advice from those who know exactly what you are going through: current postgrads. If you are feeling apathetic, overwhelmed, or just downright cannot be bothered to work on your dissertation, get yourself onto zoom for these seminars. You can attend as many or as few of the seminars as you would like. This is seminar one: Getting the Most Out of the Process Writing a dissertation can be a really daunting process, however students often find it one of the most rewarding modules that they do at university. Our presenters and their presentations are: Ruby Hann: No More All-Nighters: how to stop your dissertation taking over your life Helen Lowe: The rewarding aspects of dissertation research We will follow the presentations with a short Q&A.
