Therapets are Back!
The Students’ Association, Student Counselling Services, and Canine Concern Scotland Trust are working together to bring you Therapets – an afternoon with specially approved therapy dogs – who are here to help you feel less stressed over the exam period.
The physiological and psychological benefits of human-animal bonding have long been recognised. Recent research has also demonstrated that the mere act of stroking a dog (or cat, but no cats here, we’re afraid) has exceptional benefits, including slowing heart rate, reducing blood pressure, calming nerves, regulating breathing and elevating mood.
This term's Therapet sessions will take place:
Monday 2 December, 1.30-3.30pm, The Chaplaincy, 1st Floor, Bristo Square
Monday 9 December, 1.30-3.30pm, The Chaplaincy, 1st Floor, Bristo Square
You must have a ticket (one per person) if you’d like to attend. Tickets will be made available on the Fridays before each event (Friday 29 November and Friday 06 December respectively). For those of you who don’t snap up an online ticket, there will be a very limited number available at the event on the day from 1pm.
This event may be photographed and/or filmed for promotional purposes.
