This is a free weekly mindfulness drop-in class provided by the University Chaplaincy, open to all University staff and students. No previous mindfulness meditation experience needed.
Mindfulness is about stepping out of 'automatic pilot', and learning evidence-based techniques for steadying attention, appreciating life as it's happening, and responding wisely to habitual patterns of mind.
The session consists of a guided practice, and time for reflection and discussion. Come along for a chance to reflect and recharge over your lunch break, 1.10-2pm.
Led by Dr Kitty Wheater, Mindfulness Chaplain. Kitty is a Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy teacher, teacher-trainer and supervisor.
