How to Run a Winning Campaign: Manifesto Development

Wed 13 February 2019 16:00-17:30

Meeting Room, King's Buildings House

Please note, there are two time slots for this training: 16:00-16:40 and 16:50-17:30.

Every candidate is encouraged to write a series of promises about how they are going to make life better for the students who will vote for them, this collection of ideas is called a manifesto.

This candidate session will give you a great idea of what to include in your manifesto and help you tailor your messages to the students who will vote for you.

We’ll cover a range of topics and answer the following questions:

•    What’s a manifesto?
•    How important is a manifesto?
•    What should my manifesto say?
•    How should I pitch my manifesto?
•    How do I communicate my manifesto?

This session is open to all candidates, and students still considering standing in the elections. No sign up required, just pop along at a time that suits you!
