Learn a new skill, meet new people and make a difference! This workshop is a collaboration between Edinburgh Remakery and Edinburgh University Students’ Association Volunteering Service.
The pads made will be donated to The Homeless Period and Leith Food Bank. In this workshop you will learn basic sewing machine skills and get a pattern to take home to make pads yourself. Spaces are limited.
Most sanitary pads end up in landfill and take hundreds of years to degrade. Making reusable pads is a way to promote sustainability, while helping those in need.
What to bring
An old towel and pyjama material. Dark material is preferred. We will have some extra textiles if you aren’t able to bring them. All other sewing materials will be supplied.
