The Therapets are Back!!
Edinburgh University Students' Association, Student Counselling Service and Canine Concern Scotland Trust are working together to bring you Therapets – an afternoon with specially approved therapy dogs. The Therapets are here to help you feel less stressed over the exam period.
The physiological and psychological benefits of human-animal bonding have long been recognised. Research continually has demonstrated that the mere act of stroking a dog (or cat, but no cats here, we’re afraid) has exceptional benefits, including slowing heart rate, reduced blood pressure, calming nerves, regulating breathing and elevating mood.
This term's Therapet sessions will take place:
Mon 03 Dec, Potterrow, Chaplaincy Service (upstairs), 1.30-3.30pm
Mon 10 Dec, Potterrow, Chaplaincy Service (upstairs), 1:30-3:30pm (see more details here)
You must have a ticket (one per person) if you’d like to attend.
Tickets will be made available on this event page on the Fridays before each event (30th Nov and 7th Dec).
For those of you who don’t snap up an online ticket, there will be a very limited number available at the event on the day from 1pm.
This event may be photographed and/or recorded for promotional purposes.
