Teviot Row House

Don your best frock, kilt or tux and get yourself along to this Welcome Week celebratory extravaganza!  Try your luck at the casino, sip cocktails on the roof terrace, dance away to trad tunes in the Debating Hall, get your jive on in the Underground, bop away at the silent disco and take a break in the Lounge Bar with your new friends.

In the Debating Hall you’ll be able to put all your ceilidh practice to use with Hector's Heroes ceilidh band. In the Library Bar you’ll find our very own Big Cheese Residents DJ Crew spinning classic tracks all night long to keep your toes a tapping.

The New Amphion sees the return of the much loved headphone disco. Will you chose the same station as your friends and will you be able to tell by their dancing alone? Boogie down in the jazz lounge with Black Diamond Express and The Rianna Walcott Band. And if all that wasn’t enough, come listen to the sound of the underground featuring the electro rock sensation Noah Noah and the American band from the West Coast, November Lights! Keep an eye out also for our magician and pop-up performances throughout the night and lots, lots more!

Don’t forget to check out Noah Noah, who’ll be bringing the coolest electro-rock vibes Edinburgh has to offer, along with a whole host of spectacular acts at this year’s Welcome Ball.

Having SMASHED the electro-rock scene since launching back in March 2016, these guys are definitely not one to miss. Noah Noah have toured the UK, played main stage at various Scottish festivals, played live sessions on STV’s ‘Live at 5’ and BBC Radio Scotland’s ‘The Janice Forsyth Show’, and sold out their release show for their debut single ‘Champion’.

Amongst all this success, they have also supported Scottish legends Idlewild, Model Aeroplanes, 100 Fables, Start Static, SHVLLOWS, Kirsten Adamson, The Lafontains and Jakil to name but a few, received air play from DJs such as Vic Galloway (BBC Radio Scotland) and Jim Gellatly (Amazing Radio) and have played the infamous King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow.

Be sure to catch them this Saturday at Teviot Row House, as well as many more amazing performances to keep you dancing all night long!  Why not listen to their single ‘Thick as Thieves’ now!
