The Edinburgh University Poker Society welcomes poker players of all abilities. We have players who have never played poker before right up to members who have won money at the World Series of Poker and won an EPT.
The Poker Society meets every week in Teviot, which is the ideal location for a game of poker and a drink of your choice. The buy-in is generally a £5 freeze-out tournament throughout most of the year; however, during the first few weeks we will host some lower buy-in tournaments. Prizes are paid out depending on the number of entrants and we do not charge rake or commission. We also run some other events throughout the year such as charity games and others hosted by our sponsors.
Come along to play and learn poker in an environment that is friendly and welcoming, where you can play poker competitively or for fun in your local student union along with other like-minded students.
*For legal reasons we can only admit players who are over the age of 18*
We look forward to seeing you at the tables!

Whilst we primarily play live poker, playing online poker is also a popular activity within the group. Playing online is a great way to sharpen up your skills before playing a live tournament. Places like www.pokersites.co.uk are a good resource for more information on the different companies out there and what bonus offers are available.
HowToBet4Free.com is a proud supporter of Edinburgh University Poker Society.

“Poker is a game of people – it’s not the hand you hold; it’s the people you play with.” (Amarillo Slim Preston).
