EUWB is a non-auditioning Wind Band which is perfect if you wish to continue playing your instrument for fun! We meet every Wednesday evening from 6.45pm to 9.15pm in the Reid Concert Hall, playing a wide variety of pieces from scottish folk songs to Stevie Wonder and everything in between. You'll be sure to find music you enjoy, while meeting lots of different people with one similar passion. Band is always followed by a trip to the pub where you can meet all the members of society, and get to know the different sections of the band over a pint (if you so desire!)
As well as our weekly post-rehearsal pub, there are also a number of socials throughout the year, including sectional meals, pub quizzes and our classic Stag and Hen pub crawl. On top of that, we have a weekend away in November, and Tour at the end of second semester, which includes lots rehearsals, even more socials, and an amazing week away in a different country. For more details about our socials, follow us on EUWB socials on Facebook.
Sadly, due to current Government guidelines, we are unable to run rehearsals this semester, but that doesn't mean you can't still join us for virtual socials throughout the semester and make new friends in band! Over summer we already made a virtual concert which included all our players sending videos in from home. We would love for you to join us for more similar exciting opportunities over the year!
We hope to see you soon!
