The engineering society is one of over 260 societies in the University of Edinburgh. It is dedicated to enhancing the University experience for students by focussing on three main areas:
The University of Edinburgh is rated in the top 20 Universities by the QS world rankings and boasts an exceptional calibre of students. The Engineering Society works to build strong relations between the students and industry by organising talks and site visits, along with direct means of advertising internships and graduate schemes to the next generation of Engineers.
The University has over 1000 Engineering students covering all major disciplines.The society offers a chance for students to network across all academic years and disciplines. Typical activities that students can be involved in, include: the Engineering sports teams, the Engineering ball, socials throughout the year and various academic events organised by the society.
The Society is committed to providing academic support to students that are new to the University. It can be a daunting prospect beginning your University career and the society aims to ease the transition from school to University by supporting first year students.
