African Drumming Society

Welcome to the Edinburgh University Drumming Society! 



We play African drums: djembes, duns and loads of percussion. Sessions are twice weekly and concentrate on having fun and playing some African rhythms! No experience necessary. Get yourself along!


This semester we meet Monday and Wednesday evenings.
Weekly timings will vary and be  communicated via email (to those on our mailing list) and Facebook (see link above). 
MONDAYS Intermediate Session followed by Advaced Session 
WEDNESDAYS Beginners Session  (no experience necessary)

Freshers Taster Sessions: Monday 19th September, 6pm-8pm and Wednesday 21st September7pm-9pm Torridon Room (Pleasance). Both sessions are free! Come and have a go playing some djembes, dunduns and percussion and making some sweet African grooves. Meet in Pleasance Courtyard at 4 to collect drums.

First Session Monday 26th September, Pleasance Courtyard 5.45-8pm Interested? Come join us! No experience required!
