The Duke of Edinburgh Award Society!
Welcome!! We are Edinburgh University's Duke of Edinburgh Award Society (EUDofE for short) and we are here to help our members discover and complete their Gold DofE award, whilst having FUN!
Our society offers anyone who is interested in completing their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award the help and guidance needed to get those all important sections done. The Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE for short) is a programme of volunteering, physical activity, skills, residentials and expeditions designed to make you a more rounded individual and is valuable for job applications and life skills alike. The award takes a minimum of 12-18 months to complete, and anyone aged 16-24 can take part!
Joining the society means you will be able to plan and take part in expeditions, with supervisors and assessors on hand to help you through. We also provide advice on any queries about the other sections of the award. Once sections are finished, we can certify your award as complete and get you that badge, certificate and a chance to meet the Duke of Edinburgh himself!
Aside from this we offer great socials throughout the year ranging from skittling at the oldest pub in Scotland, to Christmas Dinner, to a good movie night! Why not come along to our weekly meetings on a Monday at 7pm in David Hume Tower, Room LG.08 to see what we're all about!
If you would also like more general information on the Duke of Edinburgh Award and what it entails visit the DofE website and just have a good look around.
