We're a society aiming to publicising Chinese business culture and practising real-life business negotiations. The negotiations are based on real business cases that happened in China and by carrying out the negotiation you can learn some really useful transferrable skills like critical thinking, data analysing, time management etc.
Our weekly meetings are on Wednesdays from 18:30 to 19:30 in David Hume Tower (TBD for 2020 Semester 1). Our activities each Wednesday include skill training sessions, negotiation competition practice sessions and evaluation and summary sessions (and of course 'happy hours' occasionally). Feel free to come along any Wednesday and see whether our society is the right thing for you.
You don't have to be a business-related major student -- We welcome everyone! We have members who study AI, Chemistry, Social Anthropology and all other kinds of courses across the whole campus. Most importantly, during each practice it's really the process of learning how a business runs and how to solve problems in the real business environment, so even if you're a student belonging to the Business School, it may seem like a whole new area for you!
Requirement: Our society is highly Chinese cultural-based so we require all the members to have comprehensive and fluent Chinese skill. If you think you are able to understand but not that good at Chinese, we can have a one-to-one talk about it and do a short proficiency interview to see whether you fit our society.
