This society was created by a group of students from different corners of the globe, who wanted to adovate for sustainibilty within food production so that future generations continue to live off this beautiful planet. The main activities of the society are to raising awareness while also offering formative and educational sessions for interested parties about the issues of food production. In addition to this we practice our philosophies by actively producing sustainable food on a plot of land we have at the Easter Bush campus. We hope that through these discussions, seminars and promoting sustainable practices we can come up with solutions to these issues. We want an environment where we have enthusiastic thinkers who can come together to shape the future of our world. We intend to actively campaign and contribute to The University of Edinburgh meeting its goal of being net-zero carbon emissions by 2030. As a society we cherish all SDGs, particularly SDGs 1,2,3,5,8,10,11,12,13,14,15 and 16.
