Student-led Social Enterprise is really taking off at the University of Edinburgh.

This year and together with Launch.Ed, the Activities Department is piloting a Social Enterprise service designed for student-led initiatives who are delivering businesses in a way that benefits both the local community, wider society and the environment.

As part of our research phase, last term we grant funded eight Social Enterprise student groups to help them grow and build upon their great work. Some, like Freshsight and Enactus are well established groups, who we will continue to work closely with as part of delivering the pilot phase of this new service.

However, we know that there are new groups emerging all the time!

If you have an idea for starting your own Social Enterprise or simply want to know more about this exciting and challenging activity please don’t hesitate to contact socialenterprise@eusa.ed.ac.uk or better still, drop in for a chat at the Activities Office, Potterrow!
