A new President and three new Vice-Presidents have taken up office at Edinburgh University Students' Association. The new sabbaticals were voted into office in elections that saw the highest turnout in student union election history, with over 7,300 votes cast.

The new sabbaticals officially started in their post on 14 June. Three of the four new sabbaticals are females, with the new President being Liz Rawlings; the new Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Stevie Wise; and the new Vice-President for Societies and Activities, Amy Woodgate. Sam Hansford is the new Vice-President for Services.

Liz Rawlings, new EUSA President, said:

"It’s a privilege to be able to represent students at the University of Edinburgh. I’m very much looking forward to the year ahead and working with students to improve their experience at university and to make the most of their time in Edinburgh. I’ll be working hard to ensure that Scotland’s universities are well funded and that students are able to afford to attend university, and I’ll also be working to improve the relationship between students and non-students in the community."
