The Role of Action Groups
Action groups reflect the needs of students who have traditionally experienced exclusion from higher education. The aim of these groups is to improve the inclusivity of EUSA by being a voice for diverse groups of students and campaigning on equality issues.
Each group is chaired by a democratically elected convenor. Their role is to communicate with students who self define to each group and to represent group-specific issues within EUSA.
This year Action Groups will be working closely with the democratically elected Equal Opportunities Convenor. They will co-ordinate the Action Groups, and represents diversity issues across campus. The Equal Opportunities Convenor holds monthly committee meetings with all Convenors to discuss diversity issues and foster greater co-operation between the groups. If you have issues you would like to discuss please get in touch with the Equal Opportunities Convenor via their page.
We hope that this year the Action Groups will continue to channel diversity matters into EUSA. If you feel passionately about an issue that affects you please talk to the relevant convenor.
To find out more about each convenor and how to get in touch with them please see their individual page.
