The first University of Edinburgh Innovative Learning Week will take place between 20 and 24 February 2012.

What happens during this week?
‘Normal’ teaching will be suspended for this week, and instead the week will be used as an opportunity for experimentation and innovation in areas which may normally be constrained by the curriculum.

What will be happening in my School?
What you do in Innovative Learning Week will be designed and led by your School. Details of the activities can be found here:

https://www.wiki.ed.ac.uk/display/InnovLearning/Home

Your School will be able to answer any questions you may have about the activities which they are offering.

ILW Student Competition

The University and EUSA are keen to find out about the variety of activities which will be taking place over the course of the week, and are launching a competition to encourage students to reflect on their innovative learning week experiences.

Using a medium of their own choice*, all students are invited to submit a ‘reflection’ on one or more of the events they attend during Innovative Learning Week.

The entries will be judged by a senior member of university staff, and a eusa sabbatical officer.

You can submit your reflection using any medium, as long as it can be delivered by post or hand or received by email and opened using usual office software programmes. *You may like to think about the following suggested methods:
video, writing, fine-art, photography
Explanatory text will be welcomed.

Individual and group entries will be accepted. One prize will be given per winning entry.

1st Prize: £100
2 further prizes of £50 for commended entries

Plus….a free gift for every entry!

Winning entries will feature on the University and EUSA  websites and we intend to host an exhibition during May, featuring as many of the entries as possible.

Entries should be emailed to:
rachael.king@eusa.ed.ac.uk
