Wednesday 9th January
Chat and Coffee, 11am - 12pm at Faculty Room North, David Hume Tower
For those arriving early, this is an opportunity to meet International Office staff and other new students, have your questions answered and have a cup of tea or coffee. Bring your family along with you!
Saturday 12th January
Airport Welcome, 830am - 830pm
The Welcome Desk will be located in UK and International Arrivals (look out for the students in their red t-shirts!).
Welcome Reception for new students, Teviot Debating Hall 7pm-9pm
Exhausted after your journey to Edinburgh? Come and relax at the Welcome Reception for new students. Meet some fellow students and enjoy a bit of traditional Scottish food!

To find out how to navigate the vastness of the Main Library come along to one of our informative tours.
Coffee Crawl, Teviot New Amphion 3pm-5pm
Looking for a slightly different way to explore Edinburgh? Why not a crawl style event, except instead of going to pubs, you will visit a few of the coffee houses around the central area! We will be visiting the best that Edinburgh has to offer, including...The Elephant House (have to, it’s bloody famous), Black Medicine and Kilimanjaro. We will spend around 30mins or so in each coffee house; enough time for one coffee/tea/chocolate.
Tickets are free must have collected their tickets from the Potterrow Box Office.
Pleasance Quiz, Pleasance 8pm-11pm

Where is the cheapest place to shop? Best place to bring your parents? Where to get a pint? Get to know the George Square campus and the surrounding area from the student perspective. Tours are on a first come, first serve basis and are only open to University of Edinburgh students.
Kings Buildings Tour, Ashworth, 2pm-3.30pm
Getting lost at KB? Don't worry! Join the tour and get your bearings.

Edinburgh Castle Tour, Teviot Reception 2pm-4pm
Explore Edinburgh with a visit to Edinburgh Castle. There won’t be an official tour so students will be able to explore the castle by themselves for as long as they like! Audio-guides can be purchased by those who want them.

Thursday 17th January

Although student visitors aren't permitted to volunteer with an external charity, current advice from the home office states that one off volunteering projects organised by the University are acceptable- which is where we come in! If you want to find out more about short term and one off roles, come along and meet the EUSA Volunteering team :)
